Dr Uzzwal Kumar Mallick (MD in Critical Care Medicine), Head of ICU & HDU of National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital (NINS & H).  Dhaka, Bangladesh has been nominated through the World Federation of Societies of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine (WFSICCM) to be a member of a task force that will attempt to help standardize the determination of brain death throughout the world.

ASEPA-ANZAN EEG COURSE DHAKA, BANGLADESH 14-15 OCTOBER 2017

The Asian Epilepsy Academy (ASEPA), the Society of Neurologists of Bangladesh and the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists (ANZAN) are co-hosting this practical course in EEG reading and interpretation. The EEG Course provides a theoretical and practical background to the reading and reporting of routine adult and paediatric EEG. The format consists of four 90 minute sessions each day, each starting with a 30 minute didactic lecture followed by a 60 minute, small group, active-participation tutorial where EEG samples will be demonstrated and discussed under the direction of an experienced EEG tutor. Topics include basic technical aspects of EEG, the normal awake and asleep EEG, and epileptiform and non-epileptiform abnormalities in adults and children.
